Overview

The HOA Board inaction on items and deflection is – in this residence opinion – concerning. Several residents raised concerns and were told to escalate their concerns on the Town Square App, like wait a minute… We are raising our concerns with the folks that are supposed to represent us right now. One resident mentioned they had brought this up at a prior meeting and no action had been taken.

Then to top it off the HOA is overspending by roughly 10% – who is watching the budget?

We still don’t have an answer for what snow removal this winter will look like. Let’s hope that gets resolved and we don’t have to band together and make snow removal a bonding experience for all of us.

Also, no word on the trees to be replanted as was escalated in Town Square App – is the HOA board, who is sending us there even reading the forums? – Again just opinions of a Woodstone resident.

Below are the unofficial meeting notes I took and had CMC review. As always if you have any questions reach out over the contact form!

Homeowner Forum

  • Street signs: Many are faded or damaged; request for a rotation to inspect and replace. One sign on E. Frederick is falling over and poses a hazard.
  • Street lights: Request to inspect and replace before fall/winter.
  • Trails: Multiple fallen trees causing safety concerns; residents must duck around branches (brought to the board several times over the last several months). Board suggests escalation to Town Square app.
  • Tennis Courts door: Someone taped the door latch to prevent it from closing, considered criminal behavior (need to be on the lookout).

Management Report

  • Financials: Association funds remain stable but expenses exceeded income by roughly 10%, resulting in a small net loss year to date.
  • Budget: Expenses were over budget in multiple categories, including general repairs.
  • Previous minutes: July 8 meeting minutes were approved with no corrections.

New Business

  • Trash Task Force:
    • Problem areas identified (e.g., Canfield).
    • Signs will be posted stating “not a trash/bulk pickup area” with rules requiring all trash to be bagged and disposed properly. (still looking at procuring the signs)
  • Comprehensive inspection:
    • Ongoing, about 50% complete, no ETA for full completion.
    • Letters to homeowners will follow.
  • Snow removal: Email vote needs to be ratified.

Executive Session

  • No public decisions noted.

Adjournment

  • Meeting ended at 7:39 pm, noted as one of the fastest meetings, attributed to the new president’s leadership.
